It means that children aren't born to be little couch potatoes. It has something to do with their education. when they see their parents always sitting infront of the Tv for hours, they think that they also have the right to do that. Parents should teach them that there are a lot of other thing they can do in their freetime than watching TV. .) Parents wont be happy to see their children playing outside all the time because they think that the streets where they live aren't safe enough. .) Most children would miss the TV more than other media because the majority use the internet as a source for informations and they use the television because it's more exciting and because of boredom. Another reason is that the TV makes them feeling free. .) Many parents don't feel safe in their neighboorhood and so they want their children to play in their rooms instead of playing outdoors. They buy their children everything they like to make it as funny and comfortable as on the streets like PCs, games consoles and stereos. So they grow up in a "bedroom culture". .) Many children who have a television in their bedroom are more likely to watch TV after the 9pm watershed. The 9pm watershed contains programmes that are unsuitable for children and it can only be shown after a certain time in the evening. Danke vielmals! =)
